COMMENT: You might be wondering why I use the above term to define this shape, instead of the more expected and commonplace, "Liverpool". You see, there are two fundamental conditions for a pipe to be a Liverpool: (1) The shank has to be more in length than the bowl is in height, and (2) the mouthpiece has to be a SHORT tapered one. As you can see, the first condition is not fulfilled because the bowl is 46mm (1.81 inches) in height, while the shank is only 48mm (1.89 inches) in length (not enough to create a visually evident difference). In addition, the second condition is not met, either, because the mouthpiece is obviously NOT short (it measures 58mm or 2.28 inches)). For these reasons, I believe that the best and most accurate way to define the shape is by using the term "Freeform Billiard". Are we still friends?! |
