The pipes carrying this stamp are clearly indicated within their table.

COMMENT:

When I first saw this pipe, I took it for granted that it was a 2-note grade, first because the grain wouldn't qualify it for the high 3-note grade and second because it's of a very light, natural stain. As you can see, the stain on this pipe is the lightest in color among the newly added pipes on this page, and believe me these pipes don't come by easily. The shape is an elegant, slim Dublin, half-bent with a saddle mouthpiece. The bowl is somewhere between medium and large, and the weight of the pipe is impressively light. The pipe has very fine (thin) grain, and on the right-hand side of the pipe, the grain is so fine it appears like a bald spot. It's only when you look closely you realize that the grain is there, but it's so fine and light in color. This shape is a true classic, and the way Bruto went about it led to an excellent example of a *hand made* classic shape.

I was stunned by how effortlessly and smoothly a cleaner flew through this pipe! I bet you that Bruto had this little test in mind when he made and finished the pipe. The shape is an exquisite combination of the Oom Paul (Hungarian) and the Barrel. The flat bowl base allows the pipe to stand on its own on a flat surface, which is always a welcomed feature. The grain is a gorgeous blend of Crossgrain and Bird's Eye. As for the size of the tobacco chamber, check out the measurements above. The pipe is impressively large, and yet the weight is mind-bogglingly low. This would be a true treat if you like FULLY bent pipes in a unique shape.

I decided to define the shape as a Freeform Oom Paul (Hungarian) though I wouldn't object to someone's calling it a Freehand. Note the very unusual shape of the bowl, which reminds me of a rhombus. Agree?!

The flat bowl base allows the pipe to stand on its own on a flat surface, which is always a welcomed feature. It doesn't stop there: The lower side of the bowl, leading to the beginning of the shape, is also flat, and to my great surprise the pipe can still sit still on that side, and it looks fabulous. The grain is a gorgeous blend of Crossgrain and Bird's Eye. As for the size of the tobacco chamber, check out the measurements above. COMMENT:

Here's an elegant Calabash, with a lot of special Don Carlos touches. The bowl is quite elongated and the shank is tapered, with flattened sides. Bruto added this elaborate boxwood insert, which does enhance the overall beauty of the shape design. Though the tobacco chamber is quite large, the pipe feels and is so light in weight, and thanks to the comfortable saddle mouthpiece, the pipe will feel of feather-weight when clenched on. The grain is quite excellent for this entry smooth grade. Note the gorgeous Bird's Eye on the bowl top.
